It is with great excitement that we share with you some images and a short video from our Grand Opening event on June 1st. Thank you for being part of this wonderful occasion. Let's keep building! As we prepare for our Grand Opening event we wanted to share with you some images of the center transforming through the renovations our community made possible. Of course no image will compare to seeing the center open to the public on June 1st, so plan to attend (whether virtually or in person) this momentous occasion! With over 80% of the construction complete, we are very excited to announce our Grand Opening! On Saturday June 1st, 2019, we will have a ribbon cutting ceremony and reception to open the doors to the public after the renovation project our wonderful supporters made possible. Participation will be viable in person and online, so save the date to join us in celebration!
Dear supporters, First off, let us apologize for taking so long to share with you our first update since our amazing fundraising campaign in November of 2018. Beginning construction in our center has been more challenging than anticipated, and every time we took a step forward it seemed that we had to take two steps back. Instead of going on to explaining all the ins and outs of this process, our team created this 30 second performance to share this process with all of you:
We are very excited to share with you that on February 26th, 2019 we finalized and signed a contract with the company Soluciones Generales Integras (SGI) in Ciudad Juarez for the completion of the renovations to the Fred Newman Center that your generous contribution made possible!  The PCE and SGI teams celebrating the signing of the contract on February 26, 2019. We are starting construction right away, so stay tuned for more updates and for a Save the Date announcement for our grand opening. El Centro Fred Newman es nuestro hogar en Ciudad Juarez y es un espacio de capacitación y formación que ofrece servicios de terapia (individual, familiar y grupal), talleres (e.g. improvisación, danza, música) y espacios lúdicos de crecimiento. Desde enero de 2018 hemos estado remodelando el centro y nos encontramos actualmente en la segunda fase de renovación para dejar el espacio listo para comenzar actividades en espacio propio. En este blog pueden pueden seguir el progreso de construcción y pueden hacer una donación para apoyarnos en continuar creciendo en nuestra página de inicio.  The Fred Newman Center is our home in Ciudad Juarez and it is a training space that offers therapy services (individual, family and group), workshops (e.g. improvisation, dance, music) and playful spaces for growth. Since January 2018 we have been remodeling the center and are currently in the second phase of renovations to leave the space ready to start activities.
